fillings

Also called restorations, fillings are used to prevent the spread of tooth decay or correct minor cosmetic damage. Before placement, any decay must be removed. We offer local anesthesia so you do not feel any pain for this procedure. There are two different types of fillings: amalgam (otherwise known as silver fillings) and composite resin, the color of which can be customized to match your natural teeth. We do not perform amalgam fillings at this practice.

Since the color of a composite resin filling can be customized, it is the most aesthetically pleasing option. It is also a generally more conservative option for treating cavities and filling in small chips or gaps on the teeth.
